The throne is only one at the end of the Main Event which recently came to a conclusion at the King’s Casino in Rozvadov. The Czech Republic witnessed its latest coveted German Poker Days festival featuring the culminating event where a player with the nickname Baller managed to make it all the way to the top pocketing €42,248.

The very last days of August brought to life one of the long-anticipated poker festivals in the preferred gaming location for many players not only from the Czech Republic and Germany but also from more distant locations. This granted many proficient players the chance to enter the new month with a fair share of the pie money-wise. Buy-in for the culminating event amounted to €175 which defined it as one of the more affordable poker events available on site.

As a result of this, the interest towards participation surged immensely and a total of 1,470 players succeeded in reserving a spot at one of the poker tables at King’s Casino’s poker room. The main selling point for this culminating event was the €200,000 guaranteed prize pool which proved to be a tempting sight to players’ eyes. For those among them who could not make it through one of the four starting flights provided by the organizers, there was also the re-entry option which was utilized by 366 players.

Thanks to the joint efforts of all of them, the overall prize pool paid out reached €271,676. This fortune had to be divided among the top 183 participants skillful enough to make it to the last day of poker action and cash remuneration. The first starting flight provided as many as 138 players with a starting stack of 50,000 in chips which were supposed to be wisely utilized over the span of the 30-minute levels of poker action and potentially significantly increased.

The chip leader who made it all the way to the top of the unofficial rank list for Day 1a was Russian poker player registered under the nickname Runen777 who saw the end of the day with 853,000 in chips to his name. This accomplishment ranked him 6th at the beginning of the final day of action of this Main Event, an opportunity later turned into a healthy 19th spot and a paycheck of €1,858.

Day 1b attracted even more players to the field, this time 325 willing to go all the way and claim their spot on Day 2 of the event. Christoph Bahrs succeeded in amassing the most chips and packed some 926,000 progressing ahead. Later on, when it was time for the cash payouts to be distributed, he made it to the 124th spot on the official rank list and bagged €454 for his performance.

Italian player Guiseppe Martino was the participant who reached the top position on Day 1c with his chip stack of 725,000 and he further proved his potential when he reached the sixth position at the Final Table bagging €8,536. However, his chip count was not the highest, as this happened on Day 1d when Claus Guenter Roehm from Germany dominated the field with 982,000 in chips.

Playing at table 10 he was the leading figure at the beginning of the Redraw day with the biggest chances of claiming the champion title. Unfortunately, he could not make it further than the 49th position which brought him €826 for his performance. On the other hand, the minimum cash payout claimed by the first player to experience windfall was €394 to the name of Andreas Thomas Lachnit.

When it comes to nicknames, many of the top positions on the official leader board were taken by players opting for maintaining their anonymity, such as the eventual runner-up player also referred to as Manjak. He had to settle for the consolation prize of €34,638 after a two-way deal was arranged, bringing fair payout to both players.

Among the players with interesting nicknames, there was also a participant registered as Sheldon Cooper, the well-known leading character in the CBS television series The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon. He claimed the 61st spot and a total of €679. Now that the German Poker Days festival came to a conclusion, another one is due to launch this Wednesday – International Poker Cup. The congregation starts with intense action and a Main Event first thing Thursday, boasting a guaranteed prize pool of €100,000.
